Regional Primary Care offers allergy testing and immunotherapy options in our office. Tests are offered Monday-Thursday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. and Friday 8 a.m.-3 p.m.
What to Expect
Those who suffer from allergies can help ease their symptoms by taking over-the-counter (OTC) and prescription allergy medications, however, these medications can result in significant side effects.
When scheduling an appointment with one of our allergy specialist they will verify your current medication and benefits to thoroughly understand all of your allergy needs. An allergy skin prick test will be performed to accurately identify and diagnose any environmental allergies. The skin prick process had been used for over 100 years and is considered the most reliable form of allergy testing and diagnosing of allergic disease.
Our allergy specialist will test for 48 different environmental allergens including different types of mold, animal dander including dust mites, grasses, trees, and weeds. The testing process includes 5 plastics testers, 0 needles and only takes 15 minutes to complete. When the test is done, our allergy specialists will review your results with you in the same appointment. Once you have gone over your results your provider and specialist will create a customized treatment plan just for you.
